Japanese Streamers To Hold Tekken 8 Team Battle This February
Perhaps Tekken 8 might become as popular as Street Fighter 6 in Japan

Japan has typically been better known as Street Fighter players than Tekken even though both games are produced in the country. However, in recent times, it seems the country is trying out fighting games more and more and helping them grow in popularity.

To this end, there will be a  team battle featuring Japanese streamers facing each other in Tekken 8 at the end of February.

The streamers including Shaka, one of the legends of the FPS scene in Japan who has been delving into fighting games  a lot recently. Also, pro player Doogura will be participating and some Smash players too.

A lot of Street Fighter 6's popularity in Japan has come via events such as these as streamers with large communities indulged in the game sharing it with their fans and leading to some significant streaming numbers for Street Fighter 6.

Maybe Tekken 8 will now has the same amount of love in Japan, and considering how well it has done everywhere else, you can see why the game could be a hit in the country of its birth.
