Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls had a fresh announcement at the recent Evo France. There's nothing too major, but we now know the line-up for the first season of DLC characters, and there is a little teaser of the first upcoming character.

Jane Foster as Thor will be joining the roster some time in Winter of 2027. Not the most obvious pick, of course, but Jane has been around in the comics since the 60s, and debuted as Thor in 2014, so the recency might play a role here.

For the first season, the full line up will be the following:

Phoenix Cyclops (Novermber 2nd, 2026)
Jane Foster as Thor (Winter 2027)
Venom (Spring 2027, will include Klyntar stage)
Jubilee (Summer 2027)

Seems like ArcSys is going for a mix of the fan favorite and slightly more niche picks, so hopefully new characters and patches help the game hit a healthier trajectory going forward.

While the game draws some obvious criticism with regards to gameplay, it feels like ASW is still trying to fix the damage done by Sony's poor handling of the title, and when it comes to balance changes, the team has been very receptive to feedback.

It doesn't seem too unlikely for them to turn this around, and establish Tokon as a beginner friendly, yet fundamentally solid tag fighter.
