"So much hatred for Invincible, and so little responsibility."
Powerplex is one of the latest characters to be revealed for Invincible VS, and following his gameplay reveal from a while ago, Quarter Up is now offering a closer look at the character.
Everything from his visual design, to his story, move design, and how they approached turning Powerplex into a fighting game character. And of course, it's Quarter Up, so you get a few jokes and gags along the way.

There are many things you can accuse Invincible of, but being too subtle isn't one of them, and Powerplex is a great example of that. His design, movements, attacks, and personality convey the extreme rage that he feels for Invincible, and they made sure to capture that in how he plays.
Though, surprisingly enough, his gameplay is more technical than you'd expect from an electrified ball of rage. In order to convey his ability to power up his abilities, developers decided to give him a just frame mechanic and turn it into a skill check instead of something that requires meter.
If you're a sicko for complex characters that have a whole lot of options to work with and filthy mixups to pull off, this one might be for you.
