Invincible VS is finally approaching it's first big content release with the Season 1. It's still some ways away, but the developers have just announced that it will be arriving on July 30, dropping 2 new characters and their biggest update yet.

Obviously "biggest update yet" doesn't really mean much for a game that just came out, but what matters is that this wording still sets up expectations. It tells you that there will be some serious changes coming to this game at the end of the month.

On a sadder note, this might be a make or break moment for the game. While we can't tell the full picture without console numbers, on Steam it's looking grim. The game's audience has been steadily declining day after day, and currently peaking at aroung 150 players. For reference, that's less than Injustice 2 is getting.

With Marvel Tokon just a few months away, unless Invincible VS manages to find its footing, it might only get further overshadowed by yet another new entry into the genre.
