In-game Modders Received $201 Million From Overwolf In 2023
Overwolf
More than 100,000 people were paid

An Israeli-based platform for in-game modders and creators, Overwolf announced that it paid 201 million US dollars to their private server owners, in-game apps and mod creators. According to Overwolf, more than 100,000 people received money from the platform.

Compared to 2022, the payouts increased by 25% - last year, Overwolf paid out $160 million. Currently, there are over 1,500 supported games, and with some of them, Overwolf has fruitful official partnerships. The platform is partnered with Maxis, a Sims 4 developer, and Studio Wildcard, who worked on ARK: Survival Ascended. For example, Sims 4 mods have been downloaded 474 million times since the partnership started.

Overwolf plans to pay out $1 Billion by 2030. Whether it will be accomplished, only time will tell.
