HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT Refused Classification in Australia
Australian government leaves the new Hunter x Hunter game with a puzzling verdict.

It's rare for government authorities to act as a news source of fighting games, and none of those news are usually good.

Such is the case today, with Australia's "Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts" or DITRDCA, revealing on their website that the new Hunter X Hunter fighting game was refused for classification, which would be required for the game to be sold in the region.

Thankfully, they have a nifty section that explains why such a decision was made, so let's check that and find out:

"Reason for Refused Classification: For further information regarding the reason for this decision, please contact us"

Brilliant, that about sums it up. However, to add to that, here's what they typically mark as "Refused Classification," as per official website:

"Refused Classification (RC) refers to films, computer games and publications that cannot be sold, hired, advertised or legally imported in Australia. Material classified as RC contains content that is outside generally-accepted community standards and exceeds what can be included in the R 18+ and X 18+ ratings."

Australian government is quite infamous when it comes to game rating and outright bans, so many users rushed to speculate about what type of content in Nen Impact could be considered controversial. You obviously have kids beating the crap out of each other, then there's Morel's big smoking pipe that got billions of kids addicted to injecting tobbaco. Could be anything really, but it's certainly not something that any rational person would be able to understand.

For now, we can only wait and see if perhaps the developers will resubmit the game after applying some changes, or perhaps another reason for the RC rating is given down the line.
