Renown Game's Director Hideo Kojima is working with media distributors A24 on an adaptation of Hideo's critically acclaimed game Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima, one of gaming's most prolific game directors, is partnering with A24, a critically acclaimed film and media distributor, to develop an adaptation of one of Hideo's most cinematic games to date, Death Stranding, whose sequel has been confirmed to be in the works.

An eventuality, some might say, as Hideo has always been open about his love of cinema and his desire to be a film director. It can easily be argued that many of his games already lean heavily on cinematics and rich storytelling in a way that is unlike many in the gaming industry. If there ever was a company willing to take a punt on a creative director with a unique and uncompromising vision, A24 undoubtedly fits that description.

The illustrious game director of the Metal Gear Solid franchise has also recently confirmed another project with close tie-ins to the film industry, "OD", alongside creative horror mastermind Jordan Peele of Us, Get Out, and Nope fame. This means Hideo is currently fielding three separate projects across two different mediums.
