Harada's Bar: Why Tekken Was Delayed Until January
New episode sheds some light on release dates and Harada's feelings about game discourse.

Harada's Bar continues to be a rather illuminating show, with plenty of new information coming from the discussions between Harada, and other developers or players.

This time around, there's some either curious information about Tekken's release date. As it turns out, it was slated to come out earlier this year, but to avoid competing with a rival's title (who could possibly guess which one it is), the release date was moved by half a year, to January 2024.

This is all fairly expected, as Harada previously talked about moving the release dates to avoid games cannibalizing each other and potentially harming each other.

Outside of that, it's interesting to hear him say in the discussion with Tokido and Kakeru how he feels about balance discussions as a developer. While pros have their own way of looking at things, he points out that there's a severe disconnect between them and the average players, yet their experience has a big influence on others.

It's very much worth listening about this in more detail in the video below, make sure to enable subtitles!
