The 1000 year old vampire might have come much earlier

Tekken Game Director, industry legend, Katsuhiro Harada has come up with another lore drop this time for the 1000-year-old vampire, Eliza. She was introduced in Tekken Revolution after a fan poll.

She would join the main series in Tekken 7. She has not been announced for Tekken 8, but there is a possibility she will eventually make the roster at some point in the game's lifespan.

It has been revealed that she would have been in Tekken 6 and had already been planned by Harada. But, she was eventually cut from the game and would only come around a little later.

The discussion started from a post by Fighting Game Girl of the Day who featured Eliza as the character of the day to which a user commented that while he usually isn't one to fall head over heels for fictional girls, he does consider Eliza a perfect character. He then thanked Harada and the team who were behind her creation.

It was at this point that Harada stepped in, intimating that Eliza was already ready for Tekken 6 but it was forfeited. In an amusing twist, Harada also revealed that he was the one who ended up throwing her on the cutting room floor.

Eliza is a divisive character as she sometimes plays as a 2D individual. This has split the fanbase with some happy to have her back, and others praying she doesn't make Tekken 8.

We will find out in due course as Tekken 8 is set to be released on consoles and PC on the 24th of January 2024.
