Harada Responds To Anna Williams 'Backlash'
The Tekken producer was on hand to tackle some of the haters personally

If there is one thing no one can fault Katsuhiro Harada for, it is communicating with the community. In recent times, the Tekken producer has gone through great pains to engage with the Tekken community dropping random lore bits, or even some industry lore that were unknown to the general public.

Most recently, he has had to come out to discuss the release of Anna Williams who will be joining the game on the 31st of March. It seems that the reception to the character has generally been good, but naturally, there would be some dissenters with one in particular gaining the ire of Harada as they complained about the design of Anna, claiming that fans of the character aren't being well served with her new look.

Harada was quick to respond stating that at least 98% of the fanbase is happy with the new design and taking him up on his generalization of Anna fans not liking the design. He claimed that people like this threaten to boycott the game no matter what is done.

Harada didn't simply drop a response and duck out, he continued the conversation in the replies going up against fellow dissenters who tried to put down the character's new design. As many pointed out, Anna will likely get her classic costume when she is released and some of the ones they have in the game are really good and are reminiscent of her older looks.

Harada also engaged with some positive comments on the character stating that he knows that there is some toxicity in fandoms, but that they are a vocal minority. He also added that the devs see the positive comments and it makes them happy.

Anna Williams will join the Tekken cast along with a balance patch.
