First impressions and things you need to watch out for!
The Guilty Gear Xrd rollback beta is finally here and will be with us for the rest of the month! If you participated in similar betas before, there is a familiar process to join in. You have to select Guilty Gear Xrd in your library, select properties, then beta, and finally, you can choose "publictest" from the dropdown menu.
The game will then download the beta branch and you will be able to play.
If you haven't played the game before and decided to give it a try due to rollback, check out Dustloop to get info on the mechanics and characters.
Once you're ready to venture online, there will be a choice between ranked, public lobbies, and player rooms. For the best experience, you will want to search for player rooms, as they will allow you to find opponents more consistently and will allow you to rematch them quickly.
So far, people have reported that rollback beta caused some visual bugs that, for example, make Chipp visible during his leaf grab or cause Burst vfx not to come out. If you see something like this, make sure to report it to the developers.
Outside of the visual bugs, the first impression of rollback seems to be that it functions well, but not quite as well as the Strive version. However, that's what the betas are for, and all connections across the board feel and play better than their delay counterparts.
