Guilty Gear -Strive- Update 1.34 Released with Several Fixes
Guilty Gear -Strive- Receives Critical Update to Enhance Gaming Experience

The latest update for Guilty Gear -Strive-, version 1.34, was released on January 11th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S/One/Windows versions. This update is particularly significant as it improves the battle mechanics and addresses previous issues that affected the game's performance.

Key Improvements in Update 1.34:

Battle Version Enhancement:

  • The game's Battle Version has been updated from Ver. 3.02 to Ver. 3.03, suggesting a refinement in the combat experience.

Gameplay Optimizations:

  • An unresponsive state triggered by using a Finish Blow with the character Elphelt has been fixed.
  • Elphelt's behavior when using 'Here I Go!' combined with Baiken's moves have been corrected to avoid unintended actions.
  • Milla's execution of a second Tandem Top during the presence of another Tandem Top on-screen has been adjusted to prevent overlapping actions.
  • Visual issues when characters are hit by Faust’s special moves in Arcade Mode have been resolved, ensuring characters are displayed correctly.
  • A fixed visual glitch for Asuka when affected by Faust’s Bone-Crushing Excitement while in the afro state.

Scarecrow Move Correction:

  • Faust's Scarecrow move caused him to appear in unintended positions, which has now been fixed to ensure consistent gameplay.

Technical Background and Solutions:

  • The previous issue where deflecting Scarecrow with P or K versions led to unnatural camera movement has been addressed. The fix also rectifies Faust's positioning when Scarecrow is active.

Combo String Adjustments:

  • For the character Faust, the combo involving Scarecrow will now hit to the front without additional inputs, and there's an option to direct Scarecrow to hit behind Faust by inputting forward. This change aims to reduce the distance between Faust and the opponent, affecting the strategic spacing in battles.
