Guilty Gear Strive's First Battle Pass is About to go Live
And so starts the neverending threadmill.

During the big reveal of Guilty Gear Strive's 2.0 update, one of the promised features was a Battle Pass that will include a whole lot of cosmetic items and even small stories.

A little over a month later, and this Battle Pass is about to go live, with Arc System Works revealing additional details in the latest blog post.

The good news for loreheads is that stories will be included in the free "Blazing Pass" while "Blazing Pass Plus" is mostly focused on expanding the cosmetic rewards, with more accessories, more UI skins, more Wanted posters, and more badges.

The price for the premium Battle Pass is relatively low at just 4 bucks, although it's worth considering that ASW is following a model similar to Street Fighter, where each pass period lasts a little over a month instead of a full season like it is in most games.

In case of the first Blazing Pass, it will be running from May 14 to June 25. If you're not into the whole FOMO thing, one of the bullet points on the blog states that rewards or Blazing Pass Plus might become available later through other means. It's unclear if this means the base items will also be available through those other means.

Lastly, another important consideration is that it seems like you can't buy this pass for any sort of premium in-game currency, nor do you earn any premium currency through the premium track of the battle pass. This means that unlike in many popular live service games, you won't be able to buy the next pass by completing the previous one, and will have to buy each new pass outright.
