Massive -STRIVE- tournament concludes in a great showdown!
There's something special about Guilty Gear -STRIVE- at Combo Breaker 2022. Not only is it one of the biggest GGST tournaments to date, but it's also the largest bracket in Combo Breaker history, with over one thousand registered competitors.
With numbers like that, it only makes sense that the competition would be severe, with some excellent players like MarlinPie, ApologyMan, Diaphone, Kizzie Kay, SQ, and others getting knocked out on their way to the top.

The winners bracket began with TempestNYC showing off their insanely dominant Leo, confidently beating PepperySplash's Zato in a 3:1 set. This performance would continue in their next match against UMISHO's Happy Chaos, who won their Winner Semis match against Razzo's Leo. Not letting HC gain any momentum, TempestNYC applied non-stop pressure and pushed their advantage, leading to an impressive 3:0.
Intense matches continued in the losers bracket, with Hotashi winning two very close 3:2 sets against Zando and Razzo. Meanwhile, LostSoul tore through Pluto and PepperySplash with 3:0 and 3:1 sets respectively.
Hotashi would put up a tough fight against Happy Chaos in the losers semi-final, but the tough match-up and LostSoul's mastery of the character proved too much, with LostSoul winning the set 3:1.
After TempestNYC's win over UMISHO in the Winners Final, the viewers were treated to a Happy Chaos mirror match in the losers final, with UMISHO coming out on top. However, TempestNYC would show everyone the mastery of the Happy Chaos match-up once again and take the well-deserved 1st place in the grand final.
