Golden Axe is Getting an Animated Series

In an unexpected bit of news, Comedy Central got an order for a 10-episode animated series based on SEGA's classic beat-em-up – Golden Axe.

The show is described as a loving and funny homage to the classic gaming franchise, which makes sense given it's coming from Comedy Central and animated by Titmouse.

Joe Chandler (American Dad) and Mike McMahan (Solar Opposites, Star Trek: Lower Decks) will be heading the show, so if you've seen any of their shows, it might be a good indication of what to expect in terms of writing.
