Go1 Releases Statement Following Controversy With Fenrich
He has apologized for his behavior

Esports World Cup for Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves winner, Go1, has released a statement following some comments he made on his stream regarding fellow gamer, Fenrich.

In the statement, Go1 expressed his regret over how his comments and actions have impacted his fellow players and others.

He said: On this occasion, due to my remarks, I have caused inconvenience to Fenricchi and all related parties, and I deeply regret having caused discomfort or confusion to Fenricchi's fans. I sincerely apologize for this.

Going forward, I will exercise the utmost caution in my statements to prevent such incidents from recurring.

Once again, I wholeheartedly apologize for the inconvenience caused.

The situation might be unclear to an international audience, but it turns out that Go1 made some statements on his stream regarding Fenrich's refusal to stay in Dubai after the EWC was over. Back then, Go1 had stayed behind, even meeting some royalty while staying back. The same offer was made to Fenrich, who declined and instead travelled back to Japan. It seems this didn't please Go1, and he said as much.

However, it turns out that Fenrich had rushed home due to a family emergency.

The issue seems to have been resolved by the parties and will hopefully blow over.

With the fences hopefully mended, both players can hopefully go back to having a good relationship. You might recall that the two were on the same team (CAG Osaka) for Street Fighter League and are both strong players in multiple fighting games.

Hopefully, they can put this behind them.
