GO1 Continues Red-Hot Run With Double Victory at Genesis X3
Go1 looks primed for a generational 2026

Fighting game legend GO1 once again exceeded expectations, delivering a dominant performance at the recently concluded Genesis X3, where he claimed titles in both Street Fighter 6 and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

GO1 is currently in exceptional form, and his latest victory only reinforces that narrative. His 3–1, 3–2 win over Nemo means that since the release of City of the Wolves, GO1 has finished either first or second at every event he has entered, with the lone exception being the very first tournament after launch.

That result also earned him an additional 2,000 points toward the SNK World Championship, where he now sits comfortably atop the standings with 6,000 points. That places him a full 4,000 points clear of second-placed Lokof, giving him a commanding lead as the circuit continues.

His dominance was not limited to SNK’s title. In Street Fighter 6, GO1 was once again clinical, closing out the weekend by defeating Punk in Grand Finals to cap off an unforgettable showing across two games.

While GO1 will not be in attendance at Capcom Cup this year, he has firmly established himself as the favorite for the SNK World Championship. Given the records he has already shattered and the consistency he is displaying, it would be no surprise to see him continue to set new benchmarks as 2026 unfolds.
