Capcom has announced the return of Giant Attack, the cooperative Battle Hub event where players team up across arcade cabinets to charge up enough power to take down the towering SIRN Akuma lurking at the center of the hub. It’s a global effort: many hands, one very angry boss.

The event runs December 1st–15th, 2025, and comes with a fresh slate of rewards, including a striking EX color for Elena’s Outfit 2. The new red-and-black palette gives her a sharp, Akuma-inflected aura that fans are already buzzing about. Players will also be able to claim rewards they may have missed in previous Giant Attack windows.

While new cosmetics are always welcome, many fans still feel the pinch of Street Fighter 6’s limited costume offerings and the long silence on balance updates. With Season 3 still roughly six months out, there’s growing concern that the game may drift into a lull despite its strong fundamentals.

Street Fighter 6 has sold over six million copies, a testament to its reach and quality. But for parts of the community, the lack of regular updates leaves the sense that the game could, and should, be soaring even higher.
