More and more top players are starting to get these kinds of sponsorships
GameSir, a gaming peripherals company, has announced that it has signed Derek “Blaz” as a Global Brand Ambassador. The Chilean prodigy, who is only 15 years old, continues to rise rapidly within the fighting game community.
The announcement was made through a post on social media, where the company praised the young competitor’s meteoric rise in the scene.
They wrote:

From his historic run as the 15-year-old "Chilean Prodigy" to becoming a true Apex Predator in the fighting game world, Blaz demands nothing less than perfection in input and precision. Now, he'll be ready to take our pro-grade gear to the world stage.

With this partnership, Blaz joins a growing list of high-profile competitors working with GameSir, including MenaRD and Zeng “Xiao Hai” Zhuojun.
MenaRD has also collaborated directly with the company on hardware development, working on the GameSir Tegenaria Lite MenaRD Collaboration Edition, a special version of the controller designed with competitive play in mind.
Blaz’s Rapid Rise in the FGC
Blaz first caught widespread attention in 2024 and has since built a reputation as one of the most promising young players in Street Fighter 6. The Chilean competitor has already recorded several impressive international results, including runner-up finishes at Capcom Cup 11, EVO France, and the Esports World Cup.
While he is still searching for his first major championship win, his consistent deep runs at some of the biggest tournaments in the fighting game scene have cemented his reputation as one of the game’s rising stars.
Capcom Cup 12 Awaits
Next up for Blaz is Capcom Cup 12, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan. There, he will compete in a difficult group that includes Bruce “HotDog29” Hsiang, Xiao Hai, and Juicy Joe.
With a new partnership behind him and another major tournament on the horizon, fans will be watching closely to see whether Blaz can convert his consistent performances into a championship victory.
