The information has leaked before, but now it's official.
A few weeks ago there was a bit of a slip up that led to the 2XKO's console release date leaking out into the public, but now the news are official and Riot themselves have posted a new trailer about the occasion.
If you've already played the game on PC, you're not going to see anything new here, the trailer simply goes over what the game looks like and some of the things you can do it, followed by a few clips from streamers and competitors to hype you you.
There are other important things about a release like this, namely the crossplay and cross-progression. Thankfully, Riot knew that these things are basically non-negotiable for a modern fighting game release, so you can indeed play with people on other platforms, and hop from one to another yourself while maintaining all your progress.
While it's only coming out on current gen systems, this should somewhat revitalize the game, which is especially relevant at the time when people are still doubtful about the game truly taking off.
