FlyQuest Conquer Street Fighter League USA In Dominant Fashion
Punk was in the spotlight again

Street Fighter League USA finally came to an end in exciting fashion as the Grand Final saw two rival teams, Bandits, and FlyQuest, take on each other with the latter coming out on top and Punk, essentially solidifying himself as the best in the world.

FlyQuest were already waiting in Grand Final having finished the season with the highest points which meant they had an automatic by into the Grand Final. Bandits, in contrast, finished fourth, meaning they had to take part in the very first team battle versus Cloud9, before facing Fighting Spirit who took 2nd place, and finally faced FlyQuest.

Bandits have a very solid lineup with MenaRD, Caba, LuiMan20 and Zhen. With this powerful crew, Bandits were in good form, defeating Cloud9 in convincing fashion, 50-10 with the only win for C9 going to JB who defeated LuiMan.

MenbaRD who struggled a little during the regular season with a character crisis, said in his pre-game interview that he was over it and would be at his strongest. For the most part he backed this up, coming in clutch for his team again against Booce.

Against Fighting Spirit, Bandits had a lot harder time winning 50-40, but struggling against DCQ who got his team's points with wins in the anchor spot against MenaRD and Caba. He did lose out in the final match against Mena which got Bandits into the Grand Finals.

Unfortunately, FlyQuest are a different beast, led by none other than Punk, who has been in unstoppable form so far and so it proved again as Punk beat MenaRD twice in the anchor spot, before scoring another win against LuiMan to win it for his team.

This means FlyQuest will be integrated into the World Championship which takes place next month.

Punk, who was undoubtedly the MVP of the team had some choice words for the Dominican Republic, stating that he had slayed their giants and they could no longer talk to him anymore.

This ignited a firestorm on social media and even MenaRD has used Punk's tweets as fuel for his revenge.

The finals will see Team Ninjas In Pyjamas who won SLF Europe, Team Good 8 Squad, who won SFL Japan and FlyQyest cross swords.

There is an added incentive for the teams that are traveling for the Championship as Capcom has confirmed that the winner of Street Fighter League Worlds will also win automatic qualification for all the team members.
