There were a number of Fighting Games adjacent talent nominated for an award at the Esports Awards this was their evening.

The Esport Awards, one of the few industry awards that look to recognize talented competitors and organizations within the industry, had a big evening today. Although the FGC was few and far between in among the nominations, there were few players and teams that had a shot. These were the notable names of the evening.

Play of the Year

Starting up was Play of the Year, MenaRD's incredible Grand Finals Reset at Evo 2023 was nominated but did not make the top 3 in the end.

Creative Team Of the Year

FlyQuest, Although not as directly tied to the FGC but slowly expanding into it, was nominated for the award but ultimately did not win it.

Esports Content Creator of the Year

On the running was Smash career pro player and Team Liquid Co-Owner Hungrybox. Unfortunately, Hbox did not earn back-to-back awards.

Play by Play Caster of the Year

Nominated for the award was FGC very own Tasty Steve but in the end, he was not given the honors.

Esport Controller Player of the Year

Zain, Acola, AngryBird, and Arslan Ash were all nominated for the award but none of them received it.
