Fatal Fury Welcomes Nightmare Geese Alongside New Story Content

SNK has released Nightmare Geese, the newest playable character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. The phantom fighter, who first debuted in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special back in 1997, has returned to South Town and is already causing chaos.

To mark his release, SNK also dropped a special six-minute OVA that explores a final confrontation between Geese Howard and his estranged son, Rock Howard. Having been adopted by Terry Bogard, Rock finds himself drawn into battle after ancient scrolls give rise to the entity known as Nightmare Geese.

The OVA culminates in a climactic showdown where Rock is ultimately able to overcome Geese, drawing strength from memories of the support he received along the way, particularly from Terry. In a fitting callback, Rock even unleashes Terry’s iconic "Power Geyser," the very move used years ago to defeat the original Geese.

With the phantom finally defeated, Rock is able to return home and move forward with his life. The animation was directed by Masami Obari, a longtime collaborator on the Fatal Fury franchise. Obari previously directed the 1994 Fatal Fury feature film and has also worked extensively on the Gundam series.

Nightmare Geese is now available in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, alongside new features including additional story content in the Episodes of South Town mode. To coincide with the release, SNK is also offering a 20% discount on the Legend Edition, which includes all content from Seasons 1 and 2.
