The gameplay is great, it's the other stuff that has folks worried
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has begun its beta test.
One of the most anticipated fighting games of the year, this beta test was to show how far along the game has come. Now, the gameplay seems to be pretty impressive and fans are loving how the game plays. However, the problem seems to be everything else about the game.
The main sticking points for people seem to be the wait times for games, and also the fact that there are some crucial bits of information about gameplay not included in the game's tutorial.
As for the wait times for match fixes, that has really upset people with Justin Wong stating that he couldn't understand why he could only get 18 matches within a 3-hour window. Thankfully, it seems SNK is aware of the problem and a representative has spoken about it explaining that it is unlikely that it gets fixed during this beta window, but will certainly be worked on.
There's also the fact that the beta has no training mode which has led some to wonder how they would do combo trials and even Justin Wong weighing in and stating that he thinks this is something that would deter bad actors from cracking the game.
There have been several other complaints, but the consensus seems to be that this could be a really great game as long as some things are fixed.
