Fans Are Trying to Bring Rollback to Classic Tekken Games
It's early, it's experimental, but most importantly, it's something that the community has wanted for over a decade.

Playing older Tekken games online, and more importantly, smooth online, might become a reality in not so distant future thanks to the fan efforts over at Arkadyzja. This is a project spawned from Honmaru, who are a part of the Polish fighting game community, and is largely developed entirely by Ren.

With the latest developments, it's possible to play some MAME games through Arkadyzja. As Ren warns in his tutorial video, there are some potential performance issues and limitations, which is entirely understandable when someone has to try and implement rollback through emulation that wasn't even designed with netplay in mind.

In theory this is just as legal as Fightcade, and since developers do not encourage piracy, nor provide norms, Arkadyzja and the new Retrobuda client should be just fine. After all, it's up to you to provide your entirely legal roms for games that Bandai Namco does not sell and seemingly has no interest in remastering or even simply re-releasing.
