Evo Singapore Reveals Five Games for Inaugural 2027 Event
Singapore will be the first of a whopping 9 Evos in 2027

We now have the games that will feature on the main stage for the inaugural Evo Singapore event, which will take place in 2027.

Evo Singapore was first announced back in 2024 when the addition of Evo France and other Evo events was first made public. Then, during Evo 2026, the Evo Singapore date was disclosed to be in January 2027.

Evo Singapore has positioned itself as the biggest event in the Southeast Asia region and will look to bring in a huge crowd to celebrate fighting games.

There are technically five games that will feature, including:

  • Street Fighter 6
  • Tekken 8
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
  • Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
  • Guilty Gear -STRIVE-

Interestingly, Tekken 8 appears once more, but this time, the tournament is the Tekken World Tour Last Chance Qualifier.

It is interesting to note that SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Mortal Kombat 1 are missing, with the former being of particular concern considering how much it has featured in other fighting game tournaments.

At the moment, it is unclear if there will be side tournaments for smaller games like Avatar, Invincible, and some older fighters.

Evo Singapore will be one of the nine Evo tournaments that will be held in 2027 following the expansion of Evo after the infamous takeover of the competition by RTS, an esports company that is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya City.

Evo Singapore will be the first of the nine, with Evo Brazil, Morocco, Mexico, China, and Saudi Arabia all set to make their debuts next year.
