Evo Las Vegas 2025 Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Top 8 Results
A Saturday full of action for the Granblue fantasy Versus: Rising top 8 at Evo 2025

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising saw nearly 1000 participants at this year's Evo Las Vegas, one of the largest tournaments for the game so far. GBVSR was the final main stage game for Saturday, and an incredible one at that, with a stacked set of players for its Top 8.

Top 8 Upper Side

The opening match of the evening was Monarch versus Tororo in a thrilling 3-2 series that saw the Siegfried-Percival master Tororo advance towards the winner finals in a tight back-and-forth series. Up next was the cleanup play of American player Zane cutting through in a 3-0 victory against Zenith. Tororo would be the next Japanese player to be knocked down to the lower bracket by Zane, as the American was able to come back from a 2-1 scoreline to punch his ticket to the grand finals on the back of his Grimnir play.

Top 8 Lower Side

Ryazo and Vermillion would be the first to head home after incredibly close 2-3 series losses against Kojicoco and Fukunaga respectively. A feat both of those players would replicate in the next round against the upper bracket losers: with Kojicoco taking out Zenith in a 3-1 series with Beatrix, and Fukunaga dispatching Monarch with a 3-1 series too. Come their clash in the next round, Kojicoco would prove his might as he cleaned sweep Fukunaga, leaving only three players left, the Paragon pair and Tororo.

Finals

In yet another close 3-2 series, Fukunaga and Kojicoco would trade games until Kojicoco wrangled a late win to secure second place and a meeting with his teammate Zane for a chance to reset the bracket on the grand finals stage. And that he did, beating Zane 3-1 to bring forth a classic, an Evo grand finals bracket reset that could've gone the way of Zane, but in the end, it was the hard-fought win on game four that sealed the deal and made Kojicoco the Evo 2025 Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Champion
