The King has his crown back!
With nearly 1000 competing players, three rounds of pools, and a top 24 bracket, the Tekken 8 event ended up having six Korean players in the top 8. Pakistani players couldn't attend the event this year, so it makes sense that the second-strongers region dominated the scene. Top 4 of this tournament got automatic invites to the EWC 2025.

The Top 8
The players that made it to the top 8 were Mangja, Meo-Il, Mulgold, and Knee in the winners and ULSAN, Rangchu, PINYA, and Shadow 20z in the losers. Last year's winner Chikurin didn't manage to make it to the final eight.
The level of play was very high, all the Koreans knowing each-other well, but Knee's dedication still shone through: first, he beat Mulgold in quite a dominant fashion despite the 2:1 scoreline, then he dispatched Mangja 3:0, and then won the very close Grand Final in a runback against Mulgold, 3:2.
And thus, Knee wins his second Evo Japan title!
Here's the final Top 8:
