Can anyone explain why France is the capital of tag fighters?
Evo France is still a few months away, but early registrations are already open and the official account has just posted a little snapshot of where games landed in terms of popularity.
Much of it is probably exactly what people expected, but France once again shows that it's a bit different from other regions.
As usual Street Fighter 6 is still the most played fighting game out right now, with competition very much reflecting the concurrent player statistics.
Tekken 8 has its ups and downs, but it's still huge in the EU and is the second most entered tournament in the event.
After that though, you can tell this is France, because this region's love for tag fighters is probably unmatched. Marvel Tokon is sitting in the 3rd spot as the new title that people are really hyped about, and just after it is 2XKO. This might end up being one of the more high profile displays for the game in recent times.
Guilty Gear Strive closes out the top 5, and after that we see slightly more niche titles, in order: Avatar Legends, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, and Fatal Fury.
