Evo 2025: Cosa, Kobayan, JP Players Reassure Following Break-in
An unfortunate event, but everyone is okay and can compete

With Evo 2025 being a legacy tournament and also one of the biggest stops for the Capcom Pro Tour, there has been a large group of international players descending into Las Vegas for the competition.

Unfortunately, as reported by teammates, Kobayan and Cosa, their shared room was burgled and some valuables were stolen.

This caused quite a stir with the Japanese camp, who were worried about the entire situation.

Cosa was the first to speak about it on social media, saying:

【Report and Warning】

At the hotel where EVO is staying, a theft occurred in Cosa Kobayan's room. During this incident, various items, including devices used for the competition, were stolen.

Please be cautious about carrying valuables, locking the room door (check multiple times even if you think it’s locked), and organizing your belongings to be prepared in case of an emergency.

The team members, as well as people from other teams and everyone in Japan, are truly making great efforts to improve the situation.

We sincerely apologize for causing you concern.

His roommate, Kobayan, also spoke on the issue saying that thanks to the support of the Japanese players, they have been furnished with materials to continue with the tournament and still be able to compete.

The teams involved, Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto and AMG, have also released separate statements confirming the robbery but reassuring everyone that the players are safe.

It's a sour note to start what is sure to be a fun weekend, but it's great to know that the players are safe and can still compete.
