Esports World Cup unveils 40 partnered organizations for 2026 program
Global initiative enters third year, with notable FGC presence and key omissions

The Esports World Cup (EWC) has released its list of 40 organisations selected for the 2026 EWC Partner Program, marking the initiative’s third year of operation.

Designed to support esports organisations globally, the program provides funding and resources aimed at expanding team operations, brand reach, and competitive participation across multiple titles.

Importantly, as stated on the official EWC website, inclusion in the partner program does not guarantee qualification for the Esports World Cup itself.

FGC presence and notable omissions

Several of the listed organisations already have a footprint within the FGC. Notably, REJECT recently claimed the Street Fighter League World Championship, while Ninjas in Pyjamas found success in Street Fighter League Europe.

However, there are also some surprising omissions from the 2026 list. Organisations such as Karmine CorpFaZe Clan, and KuaiShou Gaming are notably absent, despite their prominence across other esports titles.

What this means ahead of EWC 2026

The Esports World Cup is set to take place in the summer of 2026, and with the partner organisations now confirmed, attention will likely shift toward roster construction.

Given the growing importance of fighting games within the event, a significant recruitment drive is expected, with partnered teams looking to sign top talent to represent them on the global stage.

As the ecosystem continues to evolve, initiatives like the EWC Partner Program could play a key role in shaping how organisations engage with the FGC, potentially driving further investment and visibility for the scene.
