East Coast Throwdown Will Be Returning Offline This Year
After two years of online, this famed tournament will once again return to where it belongs— offline

East Coast Throwdown is following the likes of Combo Breaker, Community Effort Orlando, and Evo, and will be offline this year. After a two-year absence due to the global pandemic, one of the biggest tournaments in North America will be returning in the fall.

The official Twitter account of ECT made this announcement building the hype of the community to unprecedented levels.

The tournament will host about 19 titles including Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat 11, Tekken 7, Soulcalibur 6, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and many more. Registration is open now and you can check out more info on the official website

East Coast Throwdown is one of the biggest tournaments in North America and even during the pandemic, they ensured they put on shows online and held the competition there. But with some semblance of normalcy back, the tournament, along with others, is back in full force.

ECT is over a decade old and has an interesting aesthetic as it meshes metal music with fighting games, and considering the grit of the metal music genre, it pairs well with a similar grit found in fighting games.

East Coast Throwdown will take place over labor weekend from the 2nd to the 4th of September 2022.
