Bandai Namco's arena fighter brings its massive roster and motion-controlled Kamehamehas to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 this November.

Bandai Namco has outlined the features of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, focusing on motion-controlled gameplay and performance details. Both versions are set to release on November 14, 2025. A new trailer highlights use of Joy-Con controllers for motion controls, enabling players to physically perform signature moves such as Goku’s Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Final Flash.

The reported console performance varies: the Switch 2 version aims for 810p at 30fps with dynamic scaling and HDR, while the original Switch runs at 720p docked/480p handheld at 30fps. Both prioritize stability over high-end visuals. Sparking! Zero has received mixed but mostly positive reviews, praised for its large roster of over 180 characters and "what-if" story modes, but criticized for repetitive combat and shallow AI. The Switch version keeps these features, emphasizing casual multiplayer and customization rather than technical precision. Pre-orders include bonus characters like Goku (Mini) and early unlocks for Broly and Gogeta.
