Double Dragon Revive Launches Worldwide

The Double Dragon franchise returns with Double Dragon Revive, now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and Steam. Developed by Arc System Works, known for Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, this new entry reimagines the classic belt-scroll brawler that defined arcade action in the 1980s. Set 15 years after a nuclear war, Revive follows brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee as they battle the Shadow Warriors gang in a decaying coastal colony. The story merges post-apocalyptic grit with martial-arts heroism. Players choose from four characters with unique fighting styles to fight enemies and bosses.

Gameplay retains the simple side-scrolling combat of the originals, improved with responsive controls, polished 3-D visuals, and deeper combat. Arc System Works uses its fighting-game expertise to make battles accessible and strategic, rewarding players who master attack timing, spacing, and enemy patterns.

Two special editions are available. The Digital Deluxe includes the game, soundtrack, art collection, and extra colors for Billy and Jimmy. The Collector’s Edition adds physical extras like a reversible cover, art book, soundtrack CD, and a Double Dragon Dodgeball code.
