Double Dragon Revive Is Coming In 2025

Double Dragon franchise is facing yet another revival, this time more literal than usual, as the latest game will be titled Double Dragon Revive.

The game is being developed by Yuke's, a company primarily known for their wrestling games, and published by Arc System Works, with some developers supervising the game and offering their experience with designing combat.

The trailer doesn't do a great job of living up to the promise of "modern 3D graphics" with often bad lighting and clashing textures that look like they were made to accommodate a Switch or mobile port, but the screenshots on the game's Steam page paint a more promising picture.

Ultimately though, as long as the presentation is competent (and that's a bar DDR definitely seems to clear), the beat-em-up games live and die by their gameplay. With decades of shared experience in wrestling games and fighters, there are reasons to believe that this will be worth a look for any fan of the genre.

However, you'll have to wait for it for a hot minute. The game is only releasing in 2025, with no further details on the time window.
