Dead or Alive 6 Last Round’s latest character, Minato, was released a couple of days ago after being announced back in June. However, after the initial hype surrounding the trailer, fans have had time to play her, and it seems the consensus is that she is disappointing.

Minato is the first new character to join Dead or Alive in about six years, and there had been hope that she would add something new to the game. In fact, many did not expect a new character until Dead or Alive 7.

The crux of the matter is that Minato, like Honoka, is a mimic character. This means that she makes use of the moves of several cast members and is designed with the same animations.

Honoka is a character that was made with this mechanic, and she was well received, but making yet another character that does the same thing has alienated the fanbase.

Social media was awash with criticism of the character, with fans feeling that she doesn’t add anything new to the game.

Dead or Alive 7 is in development, although there is no date for when it will be released to the public.
