Cross-Inventory and Cross-Progression are Coming to Brawlhalla

The details were explained during the recent Dev Stream

Brawlhalla is available on PC, consoles, and mobile devices, offering players cross-platform fights. And now, the developers are stepping above and beyond — the game is getting cross-inventory and cross-progression. What does this mean? When will the features be available?

The magic is possible thanks to Account Linking — you connect your accounts on different gaming systems.

Account Linking will be implemented in two phases:

  1. Cross-Inventory — your inventories on different platforms will be combined. Almost everything you get across different accounts will be available wherever you decide to play Brawlhalla. This doesn’t include platform exclusives and Mammoth Coins. The developers plan to add cross-inventory in June 2023.
  2. Cross-Progression — your account and character XP, Elo of ranked matches, missions of Battle Pass, Gold, Stances, and Glory will be available from other platforms you played on. The release date for this phase is still unknown; it will happen later in 2023.

The official post gives a such example of this process:

Account Linking is possible thanks to using a Ubisoft account. We will need to login into it through Brawlhalla’s game settings. Then, it’s necessary to link Brawlhalla gaming accounts to the Ubisoft one. The next step is to choose an active account and a current platform account.

These updates are pretty exciting, don’t you think? We will not be surprised to see Brawlhalla reaching even bigger numbers than the recent 100 Million lifetime players — do you enjoy the items from this special event?

Account Linking may allow us to practice more, for example, when one device is unavailable (you know, someone is watching a movie on TV, and you are playing on the Switch). And it feels like you don’t have to pay for Battle Pass Golden Track on each system — let’s see how it will be implemented practically.
