The Early Reviews For Fatal Fury: CotW Look Great
The game looks to be set for a great launch

SNK's long-awaited fighting game, Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves, has begun its early access period today, April 21st, and the first wave of reviews is generating considerable buzz.

The initial reception appears overwhelmingly positive, with outlets such as IGN reportedly assigning an 8/10 score, a sentiment echoed in many early assessments. Reviewers frequently commend the exceptional gameplay and the visually impressive art direction, celebrating redesigns of classic characters like Billy Kane.

Nevertheless, some criticisms have surfaced, primarily concerning the inclusion of unexpected guest characters like Cristiano Ronaldo and Salvatore Ganacci, raising concerns among some players about potential future additions and their impact on the game's overall immersion.

With CotW being a part of the Esports World Cup, it is likely that it will still see a lot of support. This was evidenced by a top sellers chart from Japan showing that CotW is currently number 1 in sales over other games like Monster Hunter Wilds and Dead By Daylight.

Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves will be available for worldwide purchase from the 24th of April with those who preordered the game, gaining access to it from the 21st of April.
