Cosa And Sasamo Leave IBUSHIGIN Ahead Of New SFL Season
Kakeru will play with different team mates next season

IBUSHIGIN are riding high right now as their players are at the top. In Street Fighter 6, Kakeru, the winner of Capcom Cup 11, represents the team and in other games like Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, they also have a champion in Tororo who won the recent ARC World Tour finals.

With the Street Fighter League season coming, the team has said goodbye to two of its stars in Sasamo and Cosa.

Sasamo has been with the team since 2022, briefly joining Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto in 2023's SFL. Cosa joined in 2023 and was an impressive force with the team. But the departure of the two has been announced.

Cosa thanked the team for all their support so far. He released a statement where he said: "Even though I was unknown when I joined, they treated me very well. Although I narrowly missed out on making it into the top six at evoJ and was unable to win the SFL, and I have a lot of unfulfilled feelings and am unable to give back to my team, I am very grateful to my team and all the supporters. Thank you very much.

"Fukushima is a place full of memories for me!"

Sasamo also said something short on social media, stating: "I am extremely grateful to IBUSHIGIN for taking such good care of me even though I had only just stepped into this world.

"Thank you for everything so far!"

It remains to be seen if Kakeru will stay or if this is a way to surround Kakeru with different players as IBUSHIGIN will try to make another assault on Street Fighter League in the upcoming season.
