Combo Breaker has been announced to return next year, with the event scheduled to take place toward the end of May.
The Chicago-based fighting game major is one of the most enduring staples on the FGC calendar, and the 2026 edition will mark its 11th anniversary. Organizers have already hinted that this could be the biggest Combo Breaker yet.
The lineup of featured games has been revealed and includes many familiar mainstays such as Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear -STRIVE-, and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Alongside these headliners, Combo Breaker 2026 will also showcase a number of fan-favorite and less spotlighted titles, including Mortal Kombat 1, Skullgirls, Rivals of Aether, Killer Instinct, Vampire Savior, and Riot Games’ upcoming fighter, 2XKO.
The inclusion of 2XKO is likely to generate significant excitement, especially with the game’s full release officially set for January 20, 2026. Its presence at Combo Breaker will give players an early chance to compete at a major level shortly after launch.
Combo Breaker 2026 will take place at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Illinois, USA.
