Chris Wong Returns to Yesports Asia After Departure From Falcons
Chris Wong is back with his mates

Chris Wong, a Capcom Cup 10 finalist, has been announced as the latest player to join Yesports Asia.

The announcement follows Wong’s departure from Team Falcons, with the team confirming the split on social media, saying:
“Thank you, @ChrisWong1028. Wishing you nothing but success in your next fight.”

Wong joined Falcons in May 2025 after leaving Fnatic, whom he represented throughout the 2024 season. During his time with Falcons, he continued to build a reputation as one of Hong Kong’s most consistent players.

He also featured in Street Fighter League US, where he represented Falcons and was widely regarded as the team’s top performer over the course of the competition.

A Familiar Home at Yesports

The move to Yesports is something of a homecoming for Wong, as the organization was his first professional team back in 2023. He now joins a stacked fighting game roster alongside HotDog29, Rainpro, RB, and Humanbomb, giving Yesports one of the strongest lineups in the region.

Commenting on his exit from Falcons, Wong said:
“Thank you so much to the Falcons for the amazing support in my competitions, the trust you placed in me, and taking such great care of me over the past year. It’s been an honor to represent you.”
Shortly afterward, he confirmed his return to Yesports, noting his excitement at teaming up with familiar faces once again.

A Cheeky Move Ahead of SFL Asia?

While Chris Wong will not be competing at Capcom Cup this year, the timing of the move suggests an eye toward the future. With Street Fighter League Asia set to debut in 2027, building chemistry early within a strong regional roster could prove to be a significant advantage.

With the level of talent already assembled at Yesports, the organization could be positioning itself as an early contender when the league officially launches. For now, however, details surrounding the format and participating teams remain unannounced.
