CherryBerryMango Wins Cape Town Showdown 2023

Cape Town Showdown 2023 is the eighth challenger tournament in the Tekken World Tour 2023, and the battle for the TWT Finals spots is in full swing. Seventy-eight players registered for the two-day event in South Africa. The fate of the championship was decided in the matches between Jae-hyun "CherryBerryMango" Kim and Arslan "Arslan Ash" Siddique. The Pakistani player managed to come back and reset the grand finals, but it was CBM who was victorious.

Arslan Ash is in the Tekken World Tour's strong lead, while the Cape Town victory allowed CBM to climb up to third place. 

The total distribution of prize money and TWT points of Cape Town Showdown 2023 is as follows:

• 1st place — CherryBerryMango — $500 and 220 TWT points
• 2nd place — Arslan Ash — $350 and 150 TWT points
• 3rd place — Book — $150 and 100 TWT points
• 4th place — Anakin — 70 TWT points
• 5th-6th place — PINYA and Chikurin — 45 TWT points each
• 7th-8th place — Callym Beukes and Yondaime — 25 TWT points each
