Combo Breaker's event director, TheHadou, released today a list of the most registered games for the upcoming 2024 Combo Breaker. The event looks poised to be the largest CB ever, even selling out the rooms assigned to it at the Marriott.

While the usual suspects of Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 are among the largest in registration numbers, as your eyes gaze down the top 8 list, you will not find the other mainstream fighting game of 2023, Mortal Kombat 1.

In its place, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Guilty Gear -Strive-, and even Super Smash Brothers Ultimate all sit comfortably within that pool. However, it does seem like MK might be close behind, as TheHadou also notes nearly all games will have pool play, which necessitates a large number of registered players to justify.
