Capcom Swiftly Reverts Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Update
Game back to being broken (good) instead of being broken (bad).

Recently, Capcom released a suddon patch for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, fixing some bugs that have been there for over a decade, while also introducing entirely new ones.

While there are other examples, the most prominent one was the bug that broke Phoenix by making it so that she needs 50000 meter instead of 5000 (representing 5 bars of meter) to enter Dark Phoenix mode, essentially killing the character.

Surprisingly enough, Capcom very quickly reacted to this and rolled back to the previous update while they work to untangle the mess and release something more polished. Unfortunately this means that some of the Windows 11 compatibility changes are also reverted, so some players might once again experience issues that this patch was meant to address.

There's no ETA on when they might bring the patch back, but they promise to "provide future updates at a later time."
