Capcom recently had a finance focused Q&A session, where they shared information about the performance of several titles that they released this year.
For the majority, it underlined the fact of Kunitsu-Gami notably underperforming. We've highlighted that before, alongside some other significant shortcomings that Capcom had recently, but today, there is a more positive topic to talk about.
In the same Q&A, Capcom noted that Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster (otherwise known as a remake), Ace Attorney Collections, and the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, are all selling according to expectations.
That in itself is not especially surprising, but it's a good sign for anyone who has interest in these (relatively) dormant franchises. Dead Rising had its last major entry in 2016, while MvC and Ace Attorney have been idle since 2017.
While Capcom is obviously putting major focus on its bigger IPs, remasters, ports, and remakes, the success of these games could signal a potential return to older series.
