Budokai Tenkaichi Is Making a Return
Gokus are back on the menu!

The popularity of Dragon Ball is so self-evident that it's a franchise that absolutely doesn't need an introduction. While anime and manga are doing great in their own right, the Dragon Ball video games haven't been scarce either, even if they're typically a more budget affair.

Among them, one series always stood out as being particularly near and dear to the FGC, the Tenkaichi Budokai games. One of the earliest arena fighters, it traded some of the competitive nature in favor of greater spectacle that could accurately depict the scale and power of the Dragon Ball fights.

Despite its smashing success in the mid 00s, we haven't had one of these games since 2010 with the Tenkaichi Tag Team. Needless to say, the fans have been itching for a sequel, and it's finally here.

Sparking! Zero seems to keep things very much in the spirit of the original games, updating the formula instead of going for something different. If the trailer to be believed, we should also expect a rather massive roster (and lots, lots, LOTS of Gokus).
