Bloomberg Reports Savvy Games Group Is Moving Away From Esports
The Organization is heavily involved in the industry today, but that mighht change.

Bloomberg's Cecilia D'Anastasio and Christine Burke reported today that Savvy Games, Saudi Arabia's gaming-focused investment group, seems to be moving its sights away from esports and into the mobile gaming space.

Savvy Games has invested considerable amounts into the esports industry, including the merger between some of the industry's largest tournament organizers ESL, and Faceit, which are now known as EFG. They also own Vindex, the parent company of Esports Engine.

According to the report, the potential move away from esports comes from the overwhelming success of one of its mobile investments, Monopoly Go. At the same time, the Esport World Cup, which hosts a multitude of games, including Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8, has soaring costs in production, prizes, and logistics for what seems so far a very small return for Savvy Games.
