Blizzard Finds Agreement With Netease To Bring Back Its Games To China
After a year-long wait, Chinese fans can enjoy their beloved games once more

Blizzard Entertainment, the American gaming behemoth, and NetEase Games, a Chinese developer and publisher of video games, have both come into a new agreement which will see Blizzard games once again available in mainland China.

Back in 2023, there was a dispute between the two entities which meant that the Blizzard servers in China  were shut down and games were no longer available.

However, the dispute has been settled and in a press release, Blizzard stated, "After continuing discussions over the past year, both Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase are thrilled to align on a path forward to once again support players in mainland China and are proud to reaffirm their commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences."

Further on in the statement, Blizzard also revealed that it has entered a separate deal with NetEase to  bring some of the latter's games to the Xbox and other consoles outside China.

NetEase are the makers of games such as Onmyoji and Identity V

This is great news as it means games like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft will be available in China again.
