There could only be one winner
The much-awaited exhibition match between Japanese player, Betty, and Evo legend, Justin Wong, went down on the first day of Evo.
The exhibition came about after Betty challenged Justin to partake in her 'Oji Hunt', a series in which Betty plays a legend in Street Fighter 6 in a FT6 set with the first player to win two sets declared the winner.
Betty has been undefeated so far, but her streak came to an end at the hands of Justin, who won the exhibition, 6-3, 5-6, 6-4.
Betty's stance has always been that if she loses, she stops the event, but it is unclear if this match against Justin counts in that regard, or if she will keep to her word, considering the popularity of the series in both Japan and around the world.
Following her loss, Justin had nothing but kind words towards Betty, recognizing her skill and saying as much.
"Seriously @xxBetty_ is so good at SF6. I hope she keeps continues to get better and would love to play her again in the future!" He said in a post on social media.
Betty responded saying that she was glad for the chance to play him and hopes to train harder to get her revenge.
Betty will get back to competing for Evo which she still seems to be in for.
