Many suspected that Age 1000 is simply Xenoverse 3, and it seems like they were right.
In January, Bandai Namco shared news of a new Dragon Ball project called "Age 1000." The teaser offered little more than a look at one of the new characters, a short haired man in the Capsule Corp. uniform, who beat up a few simulated bad guys.
After that, there is a brief shot of various Dragon Ball characters floating through space like star constellations, before it finally reaches Goku. After that, the Capsule Corp guy reveals that he can go Super Saiyan.
At that point, many people already suspected that this will be Xenoverse 3. While the art style alone isn't a giveaway, it's not like Bandai Namco has all that many Dragon Ball projects, and it has been nearly 10 years since the initial release of Xenoverse 2.
Well, recently Bandai Namco might have spoiled the future announcement in perhaps one of the silliest ways possible, through a YouTube playlist. Specifically, the Age 1000 reveal video was added to the Xenoverse 3 playlist, leaving little room for speculation as to what that could mean.
Going by the original video, we probably weren't meant to hear this until Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, which happens on April 18th.
Though, while surprise is gone, there is still a lot to learn about the game, and if anything, all the fans seem to be hyped about the series finally getting a sequel.
